Staff & Leadership

We’re a roll-up-your-sleeves kind of church.

We’re not afraid to get dirty. In fact, the entire congregation plays a role (or two) in the day-to-day activities of BUMC. If you’re excited about the opportunity to use your Spirit-given gifts to build up the Body of Christ, fill out a Connection Card when you come to visit, or head on over to the Contact Page and send us an email.

Gia Lynn Hall

Pastor

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

I was baptized into the Methodist Church as an infant and received my call to pastoral ministry when I was 16.  I was a lay speaker, taught Sunday school and developed community outreach programs for mothers with young children and summer vacation bible school. I also led worship, bible study, prayer meetings, and puppet ministry. I became an educational advocate in 1994, was a Board of Education member of the public school, and was an advocate for the homeless in Long Island.

I was commissioned in June of 2008 and appointed to the Woodbury United Methodist Church.  I was a participant in the Bishops Pastoral Excellence  Group and race and religion studies. I continue to serve as a Spiritual Director for the Conference Walk to Emmaus. In 2016 was ordained into full membership of Elders orders to the United Methodist New York Annual Conference. I continue to be an advocate for those with Special needs as they are part of God’s creation that Jesus held a special place in His ministry.

Cathy Fiorello

Worship Leader

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”    Matthew 11:28-30

“Bakerville to me is a place where God is present in spirit and truth and where friends are family. ”

I write poetry and fiction.  I love Pinterest, walking, tag sale shopping and reading/watching science fiction.  I’m the only introverted Italian I know.  I have been married to Sam Fiorello for 42 years. Together we have raised five awesome children who are now in the process of raising our eleven precious grandchildren. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist at the Christian Counseling Connection in Torrington, CT

Mike Clark

Lay Leader

“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.”  Psalm 139:13-14
