We’re a roll-up-your-sleeves kind of church.
We’re not afraid to get dirty. In fact, the entire congregation plays a role (or two) in the day-to-day activities of BUMC. If you’re excited about the opportunity to use your Spirit-given gifts to build up the Body of Christ, fill out a Connection Card when you come to visit, or head on over to the Contact Page and send us an email.
I was baptized into the Methodist Church as an infant and received my call to pastoral ministry when I was 16. I was a lay speaker, taught Sunday school and developed community outreach programs for mothers with young children and summer vacation bible school. I also led worship, bible study, prayer meetings, and puppet ministry. I became an educational advocate in 1994, was a Board of Education member of the public school, and was an advocate for the homeless in Long Island.
I was commissioned in June of 2008 and appointed to the Woodbury United Methodist Church. I was a participant in the Bishops Pastoral Excellence Group and race and religion studies. I continue to serve as a Spiritual Director for the Conference Walk to Emmaus. In 2016 was ordained into full membership of Elders orders to the United Methodist New York Annual Conference. I continue to be an advocate for those with Special needs as they are part of God’s creation that Jesus held a special place in His ministry.
